a move & pictures

The current mood of burntautumn@accesscomm.ca at www.imood.com

We are going to move from a house that we love. It's sad but we don't really have a choice. This house is old, a character home. The walls are painted perfectly and every room is comfortable. It's going to be hard to move on. There are a couple of reasons why we have to do this.

1. It needs some major renovations
2. We would like to have more space, more bedrooms and an extra bathroom.

We currently have three bedrooms and one bathroom. We have three children and we prefer everyone to have their own rooms. Mael still sleeps in a crib in our room and I plan for him to have his own room by the time he is a year old, as the other kids did. Sharing rooms is out of the question, Ailah has her own room, she's a girl and the room is loaded with all her things. There is no room for anyone else. Gian on the other hand is a nutball. He doesn't sleep regular hours and he does not let others sleep with him. We even want to have an office room. Jesse, Ailah and I all have our own computers. Ailah has her own desk in her room and it's perfectly compact. I have a laptop that can go anywhere, plus my own small desk. Jesse's computer has everything(printer, scanner, sound system, etc) and a huge desk, a desk that takes up half a room. It's in the basement right now but who really wants to work in the basement, especially in the winter. Heating is horrible down there. It's freezing cold. It's a shame too because it's a great basement. It's large, half finished and it has everything you could want. The finished part has a wall of built in bookshelves and storage seats. Their is a laundry room and even more storage areas in the unfinished area.

An extra bathroom is greatly needed. We have one bathroom with everything in it. There are five of us now and I grew up in a family of seven. At least two bathrooms with everything were needed, but seeing as we have a preschooler, a toddler and a baby, a half bathroom is all that is needed as well as a full bathroom. We are the family of guests, we keep everyone who comes into the city, we host a potluck supper every Saturday and we are the main house hold for everything for both our own families.

Oh god it's going to be so hard to leave and find a house that has such beautiful elements to it. There are such beautiful trees outside of my windows. I love looking out to see the bring pink blossoms on our tree in the morning, the view is completely consumed in the color and to the left is a lilac tree so on breezy summer nights you just smell lilac. Our yard is perfect, large and we have so much space and great neighbors. My childhood dentist lives next door. After 9pm there is just complete silence. It's like the whole world fell asleep. I have never lived anywhere more peaceful. We are also only a block from a huge family park, the place where Ailah plays soccer every spring.

It just feels so sad right now.

Now the big search of finding a big house that can give us everything we want and to find this magical house by spring, maybe even sooner.

Anyway, here are some pictures.
